My heart goes out to you, Lisa. I know how much you and your Dad loved each other. I can still see him flashing that big heartfelt smile of his!! He had such a gracious heart, which he has passed on to you!! His was a life well-lived, which you can now take comfort in. You know he is in a better place. I love you both.

Having just lost my mother, Dorothy Byrd (Bills sister), I know the pain that you are going thru. Please know that our hearts are with you though we could not be there in person. God bless each of you and may you treasure the memories that you have of him. He is in a much better place for him now and my mother was there to receive him.

Have a lot of good memories of your dad and us in high school....fishing at oh-dark-thirty, him eyerolling at the antics of two teenage girls. I also will remember visiting with him up at your place after the girls were born, and giving him a hard time, telling him that he only ever went to the hospital so that I would come and see him. :-) I'm sure there is a place in fishing heaven for him, and he is out there having the time of his life. Blessed be.

Uncle Bill was such a special part of all our lives, I am so thankful that He is now dancing in heaven on the streets of gold. My favorite memories of Uncle Bill are mostly around going clam digging, he was always so excited to go and I believe that is a legacy we will pass down in our family for generations. He inspired my Dad in so many things, and my Dad has passed those inspirations to us, and now we are passing them on to Maggie-- I am thankful for his life, and will always have his memory in our hearts!!!!

Lisa and I have been friends since high school. I have so many fond memories of her dad. Our sleepovers where we could here him chanting down the hall quiet down , his occassionally "what are you two up to" look, and Boston pizza on Friday nights. But the clearest memory his how much he loved Lisa and in his own way showed her every day. I'll miss hearing "dad" stories and his big bright smile. Rest in peace dad and someday we will share that dance we spoke of.
