Obituary of Misty Anne Upham

Misty Anne Upham passed away on October 5, 2014 near her home in Auburn, WA. Misty's wake will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 through Friday, October 24, 2014, Misty's Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at : Muckleshoot Pentecostal Church 39731 Auburn Enumclaw Rd SE Auburn, WA. 98092 Officiating Pastor Ken Williams Misty was born in 1982 at Kalispell, Mt. Misty was a member of the Blackfeet Nation. Misty lived with her family for a short time in Browning on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana, She moveed with her family to Billings, Montana and then to Seattle, WA area where she spent most of her life. Misty joined the Red Eagle Soaring theatre group in 1998 and she was soon discovered by Hollywood talent scouts. She moved with her family to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her acting career. Misty became an actress and a member of the Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA. Her accomplishments would include many awards and nominations for her work in film and TV. She was a world traveler visiting places like England, Spain, France and Italy. Her favorite vacation place was the Redwood Forest in Northern California where she visited often. Misty had a deep spiritural conviction and a special relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a full gospel Christian by faith and attended many fellowships in her life time. Misty was an activist, poet, actress, musician, screenwriter, advocate and teacher of acting. At the time of her death she was a supporter of Women's rights organizations, LGBT Community, PETA, and various Indigenous Rights groups. Her favorite projects included INDIGO CHILDREN an acting troup which she established with her close friends while living in Los Angeles, CA. Misty recently moved back to the Seattle area to help her father recover from a recent stroke. Her plans were to return to Los Angeles and continune her career. Misty is survived by her father Charles Upham, mother Mona Upham and siblings Amanda, Christopher and neices Hadassah, Adaiah and Belle Upham. Misty is preceded in death by her infant son, Grandparents: Alfreda Whitegrass, Slyvester Arrowtop, William F. Upham, Mary Jane Barrios, Ceceil Grant, sister Miranda Upham, brother Aaron Whitegrass, and Uncles Daryl Arrowtop, Harlon Whitegrass and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
